as I was looking for a new project I was searching Craigslist and I found a few items.  I need more room in my workshop so I looked around to see what I could sell.  I then realized that I had this quarter sawn oak boot chair that would make a great candidate.  This chair has a high back and the seat lifts up to store items.  I first remeber this chair up at our ski house formally known as the funny haus.  I remember this chair specifically because my favorite board game was stored in this chair.  That game was the Dukes of Hazard board game.   this chair has all the nicks and dings on it that would be common of an item of this age.   It also had two of the pieces cracked.  I started to dismantle the chair to glue the parts that had split.  I clamped the parts together and set them to the side.  I then began to strip the old finish off.  I used the finish stripper, and wore disposable gloves.  I did not know that the stripper would eat right through the disposable gloves.  I then sanded it with 60 grit sand paper to remove the remaining finish.  This is where I quit for the day.
